About Charise Olson | FounderÂ
The heart behind the mission
Long before ReInspire was formalized as a nonprofit, its mission was already alive through Charise’s everyday deeds. Her devotion to supporting vulnerable youth was a defining theme of her time. After seeing countless young individuals being overlooked by systemic gaps, she refused to be a passive observer. Providing essential childcare, temporary stability, and personal assets to those in turmoil, she acted as a human safety net. This natural impulse to support people in their darkest hours eventually provided the spiritual blueprint for the ReInspire foundation, proving that change begins with a single person’s courage.
The dream that became ReInspire
In 2017, Charise’s long standing devotion to foster youth evolved into a tangible mission. Her aspiration to relocate to Texas and establish a nonprofit for vulnerable youth transitioned from a quiet hope to an urgent call to action. She recognized a disconnect in the social structure, witnessing countless young adults aging out of foster care without the necessary guidance or stability to thrive independently.
Determined to bridge this divide, she established ReInspire on August 3, 2017. ReInspire was built on three pillars: Hope, Service, and Connection. These principles reflected Charise’s core philosophy: every young person deserves hope that transcends their history, service that offers active advocacy, and connection through genuine mentorship.
Charise relentlessly researched grants, new resources and networking to amplify ReInspire’s impact. She believed to best serve the community, the organization needed to evolve alongside its people. As she grew in her leadership and vision, ReInspire flourished, turning her commitment into a lifeline for those who needed a place to belong.

The Village with her
To casual observers, she was simply a woman creating change for her community. Yet, building a nonprofit from its foundation requires far more than just a bright idea. It demands funding, deep relationships, loyal volunteers, public outreach, endless paperwork, and a profound depth of spirit. There were moments when the labor was draining and establishing ReInspire seemed far more daunting than anticipated. However, the community stepped forward. Benefactors donated, volunteers served, and partners collaborated. Most importantly, the youth remained her constant motivation. While Charise did not build ReInspire in isolation, she was the primary torchbearer for its mission. Quitting was never a consideration, as it would have meant abandoning the very individuals for whom this organization was created.Â
The Dream. The Legacy.
Amidst all of Charise’s aspirations for ReInspire, Launch Pads held a unique significance. Launch Pads represented a vision she nurtured for years. She recognized guiding youth through their teenage years was just one chapter of their lives. A critical question remained: what happens after they age out of the foster care system? Where do they find refuge, and who equips them with the skills to navigate adulthood? Questions regarding budgeting, employment, goal setting, and maintaining a household were often left unanswered for those transitioning out of the system alone. Charise was determined to fill this void.
She envisioned Launch Pads as an answer to these challenges; a sanctuary where young adults could reside safely while mastering the art of independent living. It was designed to be more than a shelter; it was a foundation for their futures. After years of relentless planning, advocacy, and fundraising to overcome the hurdles of such an ambitious project, Launch Pads finally established. Charise stood within the very walls she spent years imagining, seeing her heart’s work take physical form as it awaited its residents. Tragically, she would not see the impact firsthand. In May 2024, Charise fell suddenly ill and was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic brain cancer, passing away just three days later on May 13.
While the homes were complete and her dream was realized, Charise never had the chance to welcome the first resident, hear their story, or witness them embark on the independent life she tirelessly prepared for them. The first young person moved into Launch Pads shortly after her passing. Though she wasn't there to personally open the door, her spirit, compassion, and grit were woven into every corner of the house. Every late night, every fundraising effort, and every moment of doubt she overcame culminated in that one significant milestone. Charise dedicated her life to ensuring no one felt alone. Ultimately, she established a legacy that continues to provide support and belonging to those in need, even in her absence.
